دروازه Profinet R-KEY-LT-P (HW revision D0) با طراحی فشرده و ردپای کوچک آن مشخص می شود. نسبت قیمت به عملکرد عالی، جهانی بودن استفاده و بهینه سازی هزینه های یکپارچه سازی شبکه را تضمین می کند. R-KEY-LT-P داده ها را به صورت دو طرفه بین شبکه های صنعتی Profinet IO و ModBUS RTU / TCP-IP منتقل می کند. این دستگاه مجهز به 1 پورت سریال و 1 پورت Ethernt 100 BaseT، در سمت Profinet IO، با اکثر PLC های رایج که از استاندارد مشابه پشتیبانی می کنند، سازگار است. در سمت ModBUS، به عنوان یک دستگاه Master روی سریالی کار می کند که قادر به کنترل یک شبکه فرعی با 128 گره Slave ModBUS RTU است. در ModBUS TCP-IP می تواند با 3 سرور TCP-IP ModBUS متصل شود. دستگاه به طور مستقل رجیسترهای دستگاه را در گذرگاه سریال یا اترنت می خواند و امکان دسترسی به کنترلر Profinet IO را به حداکثر 500 متغیر (برچسب) می دهد. هر متغیر (برچسب) نوع ModBUS قابل تبدیل به Profinet IO است. پیکربندی و تشخیص از طریق محیط Simatic TIA PORTAL (در صورت ادغام سیستم با Siemens PLC) و/یا CODESYS softPLC انجام می شود.
